British designer and creative director. Founded London menswear label _J.L-A.L_ in 2020, known for fusing innovative technology with functional design. Background in graphic design and speculative/critical design rather than fashion, self-taught in garment construction using Clo 3D software and 3D printing, which cuts waste and physical sampling. Works with locally sourced deadstock fabrics; designs draw on the British landscape, sportswear and technical outerwear. Also runs VELLE_A Studio Ltd (London, incorporated Sept 2022).
