Co-founder of kigi. Spent years at draft Co., Ltd. (Miyata Satoshi Design Office), working with Yoshie Watanabe from 1999, especially on the product brand D-bros. The pair left draft in January 2012 to found kigi. Won the 11th Kamekura Yusaku Prize in 2009 for a year of graphic work for Theatre Products. His design is characterised by finely calculated ideas and simple underlying systems derived from repeated analysis and conversation, he is explicit that his own work is not the 'cute' register kigi is often assumed to have.
