Bilingual cinematographer based in Tokyo, represented by kirameki inc. Graduated Los Angeles City College with an AA in Film/TV, then worked on independent and feature films in LA as an assistant camera and best boy. Returned to Japan and spent around ten years as an AC in Tokyo before starting his career as a DP. Now works domestically and internationally across commercials, music videos and narrative, frequently with international directors, and is known for imagery with a global sensibility. Clients include Shiseido, Lexus, Subaru and Honda. Shot the short film 'scenario' (2024, dir. Kazunori Miura), which has won multiple awards at Japanese and international festivals. Awards: ACC Tokyo Creativity Awards 2019 (59th) Film B Gold for the Organization for Small & Medium Enterprises and Regional Innovation, Japan; iF Design Award 2014 (Communication) for 'Subaru Wonder Trip'. Clients also include adidas and Google.
