Director / Photographer / Cinematographer / DP

Jordan Hemingway

London, USA / UK

Photographer and director, American and London-based, whose work runs from printed fine art to gritty celluloid, known for honesty, beauty and brutality, and for challenging traditional stereotypes of beauty. Came to photography through skateboarding, after an injury ended that ambition; spent seven years in New York where his work broadened into filmmaking, graphic design and art direction, then moved to London. His method is to let the lens do the work, underexposed film, lens manipulation and deliberate error.
