Musician, composer and music producer: leader of King Gnu and writer of all its lyrics and music; leader of Millennium Parade, the project he describes as his outward-facing, world-oriented work, whose 2021 song “U” took it to the NHK Kōhaku; and founder of PERIMETRON, the creative collective that makes both projects’ videos, artwork and spatial design. Trained as a cellist, Tokyo University of the Arts, and a period in Seiji Ozawa’s academy, and plays guitar, keyboards, bass, cello, contrabass and drums, programming included. Millennium parade is deliberately fluid, drawing in Chara, himi, King Gnu’s Satoru Iguchi, the Filmmaker OSRIN and others per work; its debut album the millennium parade (February 2021).
