Ukrainian cinematographer from Kyiv, working internationally across music video, commercials and feature film. Came to cinematography through skateboarding and photography, shooting skate videos and shorts. Studied at the Karpenko-Kary Theatre, Cinema and Television University in Kyiv, then at the Andrzej Wajda Film School in Warsaw on a Gaude Polonia scholarship, then from 2016 at the Global Cinematography Institute in Los Angeles. In 2013 shot the documentary Living Fire with director Ostap Kostyk, which won a Special Jury award at Hot Docs Toronto and Best Cinematography at the Golden Dzyga Ukrainian National Film Awards. Won best cinematography at the MTV VMAs in September 2022 for Harry Styles’ “As It Was”, directed by Tanu Muiño, whom he describes as a duo partner, “we work together all the time”. His feature debut Pamfir premiered in Directors’ Fortnight at Cannes in 2022 and won Best Cinematography at Raindance in London. Also UK Mva winner for Best Director of Photography, and Ciclope Silver for Doja Cat “Attention”. Commercials for Dior, Puma, Oakley and Nike. Won best director of photography at the UKMVAs 2023. Won cinematography at the Berlin commercial awards 2025 for Jacob Jonas the Company’s “moncalvo”, which he co-directed with Tanu MUIÑO, so he directs as well as shoots. Also shot raye’s “Click Clack Symphony” for Dave Meyers, graded by Stefan Sonnenfeld.
